The first Men’s Issues Awareness on Campus Newsletter is now available. Students from McMaster University, York and the University of Waterloo created the publication, including feature article “The Need for a Movement Centered on Men’s Issues”, descriptions of 3 key areas: Men’s Health and Safety, The Boys Crises, and Family Issues, descriptions of past and future events, information about the Canadian Association for Equality, and a response to questions about our position on feminism.

Pingback: Canadian Association for Equality - First Annual Conference for Men’s Issues Associations on Campus
Interesting, I would love to see Paul Elam from avoiceformen interviewed.
Hello.
I’m a second year SSW student at Sault College. Last year I researched Father’s Rights International for a project on Divorced Dads & Family Court. From their mailouts I connected to CAFE. I’m doing a project for Social Media and Social Justice about CAFE. I would love to see CAFE represented on our campus. Someone I found who made a lot of good arguments is Karen Straughan “Girl Writes What”. Do you post any of her material here?
Looking forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Ed Connor.
This is a start but, I truly do not think that men will be treated equitability at the universities until we have men’s studies, and support groups all over every Canadian universities just like women have.
We also need to have men’s lobby groups lobbying the government for equal treatment in hiring and employment matters, as well as a whole federal department dedicated to the issue’s that affect men in Canada, just like women.
Feminism did more to create inequality than any other movement the western world has ever seen and it is time to right the wrongs that, that movement created.
I take my hat off to those few strong souls that want to do what is right and try and reach true equality by establishing these first steps at these universities campuses, I suspect you will find a backlash from a community that has been heavily indoctrinated into women only issues for the last 30 to 40 years. There are men out there who are totally brainwashed into hating their own gender as a result of this brainwashing and they write into internet sites, like rabble.ca, spewing this hate. Once again, I bow to the wise and righteous people that are strong enough to take this first step at these universities.
I beg of you with extreme sincerity that you do a lecture at my local university. I live in Boulder Colorado and it is painfully bias against men, especially socially. This is a very liberal town and I am afraid that if you do you may meet opposition but I believe it must be done. I promise you people WILL be interested. The university is CU and they are always more than happy to allow lectures. I am only a high school student, but even I cannot stand the generalization and lack of critical thinking in society. I love the work you all do and as soon as I get a job I plan to become a member. Please carry on with your ever so important work and may you reach the populace en mass as soon as possible.
I was curious if you ever thought of changing the
page layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so
people could connect with it better. Youve got an
awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 pictures. Maybe you could
space it out better?
