Report by Phil Johnston, CAFE Vancouver President
Vancouver’s 2016 Branch AGM was a success. I used it as an opportunity to boost our membership numbers (see Facebook event page) and to recognize the community’s accomplishments. The agenda consisted of:
- a presentation by the President of SFUAMB (video viewable here)
- a review of our past year’s activities and plans for the future
- a report from our sponsored groups (SFUAMB)
- and a community recognition award entitled the “Equality Award.”
- Raffle for CAFE members for door prizes (paintings, book, gift certificate)
- General discussion and Q&A
The branch foot the bill for coffee and some timbits. Some people brought their own baked goods.
Former President of the SFUAMB Theryn Meyer was granted the award.
