We forgot to announce this when it happened. Jackie Orsetto is Course Instructor and Research Co-ordinator, Department of Sociology, Trent University. Her research falls under the vast realm of masculinity studies and health, with particular interest in the dynamic interplay of the social construction of gender and morphological manipulation. Her work began with an exploration of the psychological ‘disorder’ muscle dysmorphia and has reframed this as a sociological exploration of the connection between masculinity and muscularity.
