Canadian Association for Equality Sponsored Event Celebrates Equal Parenting

TORONTO, ONTARIO — (May 26, 2014) Canadian Association for Equality (CAFE) will host the first annual Equality Day (E-Day) Island Music Festival this Sunday, June 1 from noon to 7PM at Gibralter Point – Artscape on Toronto Island. The free all ages event featuring live entertainment will celebrate the gains made in advancing social equality.

“CAFE is committed to gender equality between men and women,” said Gene Hughes, CAFE Board member and E-Day founder. “We chose the annual date of June 1st since it falls neatly between Mothers Day and Fathers Day.”

The theme for E-Day 2014 is Equal Parenting, which aims to foster continued maximum commitment from both mom and dad following break-up or divorce in the best interest of children.

Music guests include Ron Hawkins and the Do Good Assassins, Spookey Ruben, David Celia Band, Ginger Ale and the Monowhales, Luxury Rob, Telejet and many more.

E-Day 2014 official liquor sponsors are Kronenbourg, Hogtown Brewers & Jaegermeister.
