Equality means equality for everyone.
The 2019 annual Canadian National Men’s Issues Conference is the largest recurring event in the country focused on policies, services and public awareness on boys and men. Join us for the third conference in this series and the first time it’s been held in Toronto.
The conference is hosted by the University of Toronto Men’s Issues Awareness Society. It is sponsored by CAFE.
About Our Local Hosts
The University of Toronto Men’s Issues Awareness Society has been active at Canada’s largest university since 2012 and has hosted over 50 events on campus, bringing awareness to several thousand students and others. In its earlier days, the UTMIA worked hard to confront challenges from opponents who vandalized event advertisements and rioted at events, but it has emerged as a thriving and vibrant student society bringing awareness to life and death issues that no other group on campus dares to discuss.
About the Canadian Association for Equality
The Canadian Association for Equality is a registered educational charity with a unique focus on integrating boys, men and fathers into efforts to achieve gender equality. We work through services, public events, scholarly research and community engagement.
CAFE operates Canadian Centre for Men and Families facilities in four cities. These first of their kind health and social service hubs are open, inclusive and diverse hubs of programs and services for boys and men, including free counselling, legal assistance, father-involvement programs, mentorship and support for victims of abuse and trauma.
